Updated Guidance: Female Genital Mutilation. RCN guidance for travel health services

12 November 2020

The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has reviewed and updated their Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) guidance for health care professionals providing travel health services.

This publication highlights the importance of reviewing processes within travel health settings to ensure services provide effective safeguarding around FGM. This guidance also includes an A4 poster which can be used as a quick reference and is intended to guide the development of local services when caring for girls and women who may be at risk of, or who are survivors of FGM.
